The disciples gathered to choose a new apostle.  They proposed two, then they prayed and Matthias was chosen to become an apostle.  He was sent with the others into the world to share the good news.  Today, men and women are still being chosen to follow Jesus and to continue the work of the apostles.  Are you willing to say yes?  Are you willing to go out to the world to share the good news?  Will you do this as a priest or religious?  If so, please contact the Vocations Office at 732-562-1990 ext. 1700, or E-mail us at vocations@diometuchen.org. Or you can visit our website at www.diometuchen.org/vocations.  Allow the Lord to change your life forever!

Jesus is the perfect steward - watching carefully over all who had been entrusted to Him by the Father and then sending them all out into the world in service.  May I similarly protect and wisely use the gifts entrusted to me!

The Parish Church is the proper place for Parishioners to receive their Sacraments for the first time.  Beginning this fall, all students who attend Holy Family Academy will be required to receive First Communion and Confirmation here at Our Lady of Mercy.  Permission to do otherwise will not be given.

PARISH NEWS CONTINUED…

Many people do not wish to have their names published, so unless requested by family or friends we cannot put the name(s) into the parish bulletin or on the prayer list.  Requests should be made directly to the parish office.

If a family member or close friend of a deceased person wishes to speak at the Funeral Mass, he/she must have this cleared with the pastor or priest who is celebrating the Mass.  The Diocesan policy is that such talk should be no longer than three (3) minutes, & it must be submitted in writing to the priest beforehand.
