2 Tm 3:14-4:2 Lk 18:1-8

Through incessant prayer, we open ourselves more fully to understanding God’s will.  Through faith in the power or prayer, we experience God’s love and assistance.  Our Christian life is nourished by the scriptures we read and by our received tradition.

Let Us Pray…That Christians may hold fast to basic church teaching about the sacredness of all human life.

“When we speak up against crime and drugs we are praised; when we speak up against abortion we are told, ‘Mind your own business!’  But isn’t our business the business of love?  When someone’s choice interferes with someone else’s life, that’s everybody’s business.”   Fr. Frank Pavone, Priests for life

PLEASE PRAY FOR ALL OF OUR PARISHIONERS who are sick at home, in the hospital or in nursing homes, especially for Bill Fioravant, John Pongratz, Mary Pokotello, Rose Campanero, John & Eileen Foxwell, Sr. Elinor Foxwell, F.M.M., Haley Weber, Cole Nesmith, James Murray (uncle of Karen Mathews), Warren King (father of Karen Mathews), Vincent Anatele, Rose Stevenson, Blanche Ferarro, Ralph Ley, Teresa Kunz, Carol Talnagi, Gladys Quinlin and Josephine Sarnoski.

Please also pray for the soul of Joseph Ballotta, who passed away last week.

The Bishop’s Annual Appeal

FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK…

This week I mailed a follow-up letter to parishioners who had not yet responded to Bishop Bootkoski’s request to support the 2004 Bishop’s Annual Appeal.

If this letter arrived after you made your gift, please accept my apologies and my thanks for your generosity.

Currently our parish has raised $3,700.00 of our $23,100.00 goal.  I am confident that with everyone’s participation we can meet or exceed this amount.

“Together – One Family in Christ” we can make a difference.  Please pray for the success of the Appeal.  Thank You!
