The law of the Lord, the great commandment of love is not something “mysterious” or “remote.” Indeed, it is “very near” to us. Yet how difficult it is to fulfill, being neighbor to whoever is in need. But if we seek God, we must “go ahead and do the same” for we have been created in, for, and through Christ.
PLEASE PRAY FOR ALL OF OUR PARISHIONERS who are sick at home, in the hospital or in nursing homes, especially for Consuelo Healy, Bill Fioravant, John Pongratz, Joseph Ballotta, Mary Ann Manley, Mary Pokotello, Hudson Savarin, Albert Schraeder, Rose Campanero, Patrick Puppo, John & Eileen Foxwell, Sr. Elinor Foxwell, F.M.M., Haley Weber, Cole Nesmith, James Murray (uncle of Karen Mathews), Vincent Anatele, Rose Stevenson, Blanche Ferarro, David Alliprandine, Ralph Ley, Teresa Kunz, Josephine Sarnoski, and Joseph Morando.

REQUEST
FOR ACTION-The Catholic healthcare ministry has served the people of NJ since
the founding of the state’s first hospitals during the 1800s. The 15 Catholic hospitals of NJ provide 23 %
of the documented charity care ($178,797,837) to uninsured New Jerseyans and
29% of all Medicaid services ($118,575,083) to patients in need of health
care. This commitment to treating the
poor and uninsured is now challenging our State hospitals’ financial and
operational well being. They need
adequate reimbursement for charity care and other valued services in this
year’s State budget. Names and address
of your local legislators are available at www.njleg.state.nj.us. Please take the time to write, call or email
them today. Ask them to support
increased funding for charity care For

Golden & Silver Wedding Anniversary Celebrations will take place on October 10 or October 24, 2004 at 4:00 PM. Arrangements can be made by contacting your parish office at 732-356-1037. Application forms are available and will be accepted by the Family Life Office until Friday, September 3, 2004. A confirmation letter will be sent once your application has been processed.
Someone is Waiting for You!
How very fortunate we are to have the
Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament every Thursday from 8:30 AM until 12
noon. We are able to visit with Jesus,
one on one, and to tell Him all of our troubles and worries and receive His
Loving Peace and Comfort while in His Presence.
Won’t you come and visit Him? It could be for 15 minutes, ½ hour or 1 hour. His Blessings are there for you. Let’s not miss this beautiful Spiritual Opportunity.
“When we feed those who cannot feed themselves-the infant, those who suffer from paralysis or the persistently unconscious-we do more than sustain their lives. We demonstrate our love and concern for them as fellow human beings, and from a specifically Christian perspective, as brothers and sisters in the Lord.”
