In bargaining with God, Abraham demonstrates a real persistence in prayer.  Jesus invites us to persist in prayer as well, to “ask…seek…knock”.  May our prayer open us to God’s will, and so build up his strength within us.  In baptism, we have died with Christ, and have been raised to life with him.

PLEASE PRAY FOR ALL OF OUR PARISHIONERS who are sick at home, in the hospital or in nursing homes, especially for Consuelo Healy, Bill Fioravant, John Pongratz, Joseph Ballotta, Mary Pokotello, Hudson Savarin, Albert Schraeder, Rose Campanero, Patrick Puppo, John & Eileen Foxwell, Sr. Elinor Foxwell, F.M.M., Haley Weber, Cole Nesmith, James Murray (uncle of Karen Mathews), Vincent Anatele, Rose Stevenson, Blanche Ferarro, David Alliprandine, Ralph Ley, Teresa Kunz, Betty Connelly, Louie Auerbach, Josephine Sarnoski, and Joseph Morando.  Please also pray for the soul of Rev. Francis L. Oterino, a priest of the Society of Jesus Christ the Priest.

Let Us Pray…That church communities may reach out in forgiveness and love to those who have been victimized by abortion.

The Sacrament of Confirmation will be administered here at Our Lady of Mercy on Saturday, October 9th at the 5:30 PM Mass.  Abbot Gerard Lair, O.S. B. will preside at the celebration.

Won’t you come and visit Him?  It could be for 15 minutes, ½ hour or 1 hour.  His Blessings are there for you.  Let’s not miss this beautiful Spiritual Opportunity.
