Let us boast of nothing but the cross of Christ. Through it his grace and power are made known to his servants.  Tremendous deeds shall be performed in his name: the reign of God is proclaimed, peace is given as gift and the forces of sin are overcome.

PLEASE PRAY FOR ALL OF OUR PARISHIONERS who are sick at home, in the hospital or in nursing homes, especially for Consuelo Healy, Bill Fioravant, John Pongratz, Joseph Ballotta, Mary Ann Manley, Mary Pokotello, Hudson Savarin, Albert Schraeder, Rose Campanero, Patrick Puppo, John & Eileen Foxwell, Sr. Elinor Foxwell, F.M.M., Haley Weber, Cole Nesmith, James Murray (uncle of Karen Mathews), Vincent Anatele, Rose Stevenson, Blanche Ferarro, David Alliprandine, Ralph Ley, Teresa Kunz, Josephine Sarnoski, and Joseph Morando.  Please also pray for the soul of Vera Franzyshen, who passed away last week.

PRE-BAPTISMAL CLASS- The next Baptism Class will be on Monday, September 13, 2004.

Let Us Pray…That this nation may work together to put into practice the Declaration of Independence guarantee that all human beings have an inalienable right to life.

“They shall know that a prophet has been among them.” This was God’s declaration to Ezekiel and to Jesus’ contemporaries in Nazareth.  In a very real sense this is also what God wants to say about each of us to our world today.  In Baptism every Christian is anointed prophet, empowered by the Spirit to do God’s work among the people.  Our stewardship encompasses the many roles and responsibilities each of us has—everything from family to job to parish ministries to community outreach.  We get our identity as stewards and prophets not by how much we do, but by the faith and trust that motivate us.  The message of the past several weeks continues to grab us—our:”doing” must issue from the deepest part of who we are.

Someone is Waiting for You!

How very fortunate we are to have the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament every Thursday from 8:30 AM until 12 noon.  We are able to visit with Jesus, one on one, and to tell Him all of our troubles and worries and receive His Loving Peace and Comfort while in His Presence.

Won’t you come and visit Him?  It could be for 15 minutes, ˝ hour or 1 hour.  His Blessings are there for you.  Let’s not miss this beautiful Spiritual Opportunity.

God’s Message-

It is not as important to Love,

as to know what you are Loving.

It is not as im0portant to Give,

as to know what you are Giving.

It is not as important to Worship,

as to know what you are Worshiping.

Do you Love what man has created?

Or do you love the Creator of man?

Do you give your Soul to another human?

Or do you give your Soul to your Eternal Father?

Do you Worship worldly possessions?

Or do you worship that which you cannot posses on earth, but in Heaven?

Empty your Heart so you can be Loved.

Empty your Soul so you can be Given.

Empty your Cup so you can be filled.

Only by shedding all that we think we know.

Will we know God?

When you are DOWN to nothing…..

                     God is UP to something!

Faith sees the invisible, believes the incredible and receives the impossible!

Thank God for our physical AND spiritual nourishment!

REMEMBER, FAITH MAKES THINGS POSSIBLE, NOT EASY!!!!!!!
