The 2005 Appeal is coming to a close.  We need your support if the overall goal of $6 million is to be achieved.  Please respond to Bishop Bootkoski’s recent request by mailing your gift card in the envelope provided.

Your participation is critical if we are to continue to fund all diocesan ministries across our four-county diocese.  You can also make your gift or pledge at Mass next weekend, Nov. 12th & 13th, Pledge Commitment Weekend.  In-pew envelopes will be distributed.

Holy Name Society News

Just a friendly reminder to all our good friends to get your 50/50 Raffle tickets sold and to return them to the rectory as soon as you can.

It has come to our attention that Joseph Andruzzi, a Holy Name Society member, and his wife Barbara celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary recently.  Congratulations to our good friends.

November brings us to the closing of the church year & the reminder that we must be prepared for the coming of the Lord.

November is also the time for ALL Holy Name members to consider the election of new officers for the coming year, 2006.  Don’t shy away from the possibility of nominating or becoming an officer.  Remember that the harvest is good but the workers are few.  Like the Marines, “We are looking for a few good men”.

Hoping to see all of our members in November.  Bring a friend.

BLESSED BE HIS HOLY NAME

☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺

Reconnect with your own native sense of wonder.  Remember as a child marveling at the intricate beauty of a daisy? Remember collecting fallen leaves, especially the very pretty ones? Remember watching the first ice forming on the lake or stream or birdbath and the frost creating beautiful patterns on the wooden fence? Before we can help our children see the beauty surround us, we must first see it ourselves. Take a few minutes to go outside and breathe in the glories of nature.
