Thomas believed because he saw the risen Jesus.  Although we have never seen him, we believe in him.  We give thanks to the Lord for this gift of faith, especially when we gather for the breaking of the bread and the prayers.

Let Us Pray…That we may be willing to offer spiritual and material support to those with unplanned pregnancies, and to families caring for their disabled or elderly members.

In a recent speech to caregivers for the terminally ill, Pope John Paul II reviewed Church teaching that in all medical treatment, respect for human life and human dignity should be paramount, rejecting an ethical system that “pretends to establish who can live and who must die.”  Catholic News Service, 11/12/04

April 17, 2005 has been designated as World Day of Prayer for Vocations.  This is a day for all of us to pray that men and women will hear and respond to God’s Call in their lives.  The hope is that this will include the call to follow Jesus as priests, deacons, sisters and brothers.  Bishop Bootkoski will preside at a Eucharistic Holy Hour for Vocations at St Bernard Church in Bridgewater at 4:00 PM.

Once again we would like to thank you for the tremendous effort so many of you have shown in keeping your commitment to financially support this parish.  Our income has increased due to the large response from this caring, dedicated community.  I realize this has been a sacrifice for many of you but such a financial commitment is helping us to address the many needs facing our parish today.                             Father Dan
