Following the Lord
means nothing less than the cross: offering ourselves with Jesus as a living
sacrifice and not conforming ourselves to this world. Following him will entail derision and scorn,
yet the Lord is our help.

PLEASE PRAY FOR ALL OF OUR
PARISHIONERS who
are sick at home, in the hospital or in nursing homes, especially for Irene
Corrigan, William McGirl, Mary Pokotello, John Foxwell, Haley Weber, Blanche
Ferarro, Gladys Quinlan, Adam Platukis, Josephine Sarnoski, Marie Quinata, Andy
Gonda, Nick Barber, Roseanne Scaletti, Diane Manley, and Bryant Connelly (Betty’s son).
Please
also pray for the soul of Charles F. Hughes, brother of Most Rev. Edward T.
Hughes, Bishop Emeritus of the Diocese of Metuchen.

Are you searching for meaning in your life?
We at Our Lady of Mercy are a community of Jesus' disciples. We want to embrace a renewed commitment to God, to one another, and to our world. Beginning in
September and during the next three years, we will journey together using the RENEW process to help us connect with our deepest spiritual roots. Let us pray and ask all our family members and friends to pray that, as people all over the world, we can reconcile our differences and commit our energies to becoming a world community.
