Rom 9:1-5 Mt 14:22-33

In the midst of our trials and tribulations, the Lord extends his hands to us and saves us.  He calms our frightened hearts through his quiet presence.  May our faith in the Lord draw God’s chosen people to the new covenant in Christ.

PLEASE PRAY FOR ALL OF OUR PARISHIONERS who are sick at home, in the hospital or in nursing homes, especially for Mary Pokotello, John Foxwell, Haley Weber, Blanche Ferarro, Gladys Quinlan, Adam Platukis, Josephine Sarnoski, Marie Quinata, Andy Gonda, Joyce Porto, Nick Barber, Roseanne Scaletti, Diane Manley, and Bryant Connelly (Betty’s son).

Please also pray for the souls of Roberta (Bobbi) Zabita,

and Joe Getlik who passed away last week.

Let us be joined in prayer, as Roberta & Joe are welcomed back into the loving embrace of our Heavenly Father.  Let us also remember the Getlik & Zabita (Miele) families- that they may find strength and consolation in the Lord, and comfort and support from their family and friends.

Nineteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Elijah recognized the voice of God not in the strong and heavy wind, not in the earthquake, and not in the fire, but in a tiny whispering sound. May we find enough quiet in our clamorous world to hear His voice and discern what He is calling us to do and be.

There will be activities in the downstairs hall for the children. After the presentation, all are invited to the downstairs hall for continuing discussions and light refreshments.

2) Sign-Up Sunday.

On the weekend of September 17-18, you will have an opportunity to sign-up for one of the small community sessions. These will consist of groups of 8 - 12 people who will meet once a week for the next six weeks. The number of groups will depend upon the number of people who sign up.

3) RENEW begins.

Beginning on Sunday, October 2, the small community groups will begin meeting.  These sessions will include prayer, faith sharing, and scripture. The sessions will run for 90 minutes.

Continue to watch this space for thoughts and ideas that will be part of the discussions in the RENEW sessions.
