As Moses challenged
the Israelites to listen to God’s voice, so we are called to hear the voice of
Jesus and live out his teachings by what we say & do, whatever our vocation
in life may be.

PLEASE PRAY FOR
ALL OF OUR PARISHIONERS who are sick at home, in the hospital or in nursing homes, especially
for John Vanderhoff, Gail Rotondo, Tony Gangitano, Frank Kozden, Christine
Dyke, Gilda Rizzon, David King, Mary Pokotello, John Foxwell, Haley Weber,
Blanche Ferarro, Adam Platukis, Josephine Sarnoski, Andy Gonda, Roseanne

Let us be joined in prayer, as John & Sr. Albertus are
welcomed back into the loving embrace of our Heavenly Father. Let us also
remember the McGillicuddy & O’Callaghan families, that they may find
strength and consolation in the Lord, and comfort and support from their family
and friends.

First Synod of the Diocese of Metuchen
Blessed with Technology
You’ve
been faithfully reading about the synod process and are now convinced that
being part this process is indeed a unique opportunity. But, you couldn’t
attend the Speak Up Session here at Our Lady of Mercy. After checking the
complete list, you can’t find a session that fits your work and family
schedule. What to do? You will be able to share your hopes and
concerns for the future of the diocese – online!
We’re
using technology for our collective advantage by making key Speak Up Session
questions available at the synod website. Between January 23 & February 17,
you’ll be able to click on a link that opens an email for you to fill out. Hit
“send” and your input will arrive at the Synod Secretariat where it will be
added to what’s coming in from parish-based sessions. You’ll also have the
option of filling out a PDF faxing it in. (Note:
Your name and email address will not be recorded as data.)
We invite you to
speak up online if that will better suit your needs.
