First Synod of the Diocese of Metuchen

Blessed with Technology

You’ve been faithfully reading about the synod process and are now convinced that being part this process is indeed a unique opportunity. But, you couldn’t attend the Speak Up Session here at Our Lady of Mercy. After checking the complete list, you can’t find a session that fits your work and family schedule. What to do?  You will be able to share your hopes and concerns for the future of the diocese – online!

We’re using technology for our collective advantage by making key Speak Up Session questions available at the synod website.   Between January 23 & February 17, you’ll be able to click on a link that opens an email for you to fill out. Hit “send” and your input will arrive at the Synod Secretariat where it will be added to what’s coming in from parish-based sessions. You’ll also have the option of filling out a PDF faxing it in. (Note: Your name and email address will not be recorded as data.)

We invite you to speak up online if that will better suit your needs.

Moses told the people, “The Lord will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own kinsmen.” God still provides among His people the gifts and talents necessary to continue the work of His Church. What gifts are yours to share?
