Stewardship

The readings today speak of the end of the world and the coming of the kingdom. The bishops’ pastoral on stewardship says clearly that “that ‘life to come’ is in continuity with this present life through the human goods, the worthy human purposes, which people foster now.” May our good stewardship help us to be numbered among the chosen on the last day!

PLEASE PRAY FOR ALL OF OUR PARISHIONERS who are sick at home, in the hospital or in nursing homes, especially for John Vanderhoff, Tony Gangitano, Frank Kozden, David King, Mary Pokotello, John & Peter Foxwell, Haley Weber, Frank Stashak, Blanche Ferarro, Kalman Sipos, Josephine Sarnoski, and Diane Manley. God is Like..

(submitted by Josephine Stout. Thanks Josephine)

A fifth grade teacher in a Christian school asked her class to look at TV commercials and see if they could use them in some way to communicate ideas about God. Here are some of the results.

·         God is like a Ford..He’s got a better idea.

·         God is like Coke.. He’s the real thing.

·         God is like Hallmark Cards..He cares enough to send His very best.

·         God is like Tide..He gets the stains out that others leave behind.

·         God is like General Electric..He brings good things to life.

·         God is like Alka-Seltzer..Try Him, you’ll like Him.

·         God is like Scotch Tape..You can’t see Him, but you know He’s there.

·         God is like Dial Soap..Aren’t you glad you have him, Don’t you wish every body did?

·         God is like Allstate..You’re in good hands with Him
