Stewardship
Joseph’s obedience to
God was not a one-time thing. His attention to the angel’s warning kept Jesus
from being murdered by Herod and led to the fulfillment of the prophecy that
the Messiah would be a Nazorean. Fidelity
to God’s will assures the best use of my talents, too.

2007 Bishop’s Annual Appeal
“Disciples of Christ…Stewards of His Gifts”
We are just days away from New Year’s Day 2008! As we prepare for the New Year ahead we also
have the opportunity to reflect upon 2007.
Indeed Our Lord has provided many blessings during the past year and we
are poised as a parish community to accomplish much during the upcoming New
Year.
The Diocese of Metuchen, led by Bishop Bootkoski, is also preparing for
the New Year. However, before the page
is turned from 2007 to 2008, the diocesan Church needs your help. The 2007 Appeal—which is the lifeline of
twenty-five diocesan ministries—is nearing the over- all goal of $6.3 million,
but more donors are needed. If your
family has not yet made a pledge, it is
not too late to do so. All

please stop by their story board, read their autobiographies and pray for
them. There are individual names you can take home with you to pray for
them. The board is located in the back of the church. Thank you.

Laura’s New Year Resolution
The renown Dr.
Neil proclaimed the way to achieve inner peace for the New Year is to finish
all the things you have started in the past year.
So I looked
around my house to see things I started and hadn't finished; and, before leaving
the house this morning, I finished off a bottle of Pinot, a bottle of
Chardonnay, a bole of Baileys, a butle of Kehuha, a pockage of Pinqeuns, tha
