Stewardship

Joseph’s obedience to God was not a one-time thing. His attention to the angel’s warning kept Jesus from being murdered by Herod and led to the fulfillment of the prophecy that the Messiah would be a Nazorean.  Fidelity to God’s will assures the best use of my talents, too.

PLEASE PRAY FOR ALL OF OUR PARISHIONERS including:  Josephine Sarnoski, Genevieve Casey, Elizabeth Connelly, Josephine Martens and Peter Yazgier

2007 Bishops Annual Appeal

Disciples of ChristStewards of His Gifts

We are just days away from New Year’s Day 2008!  As we prepare for the New Year ahead we also have the opportunity to reflect upon 2007.  Indeed Our Lord has provided many blessings during the past year and we are poised as a parish community to accomplish much during the upcoming New Year.

The Diocese of Metuchen, led by Bishop Bootkoski, is also preparing for the New Year.  However, before the page is turned from 2007 to 2008, the diocesan Church needs your help.  The 2007 Appeal—which is the lifeline of twenty-five diocesan ministries—is nearing the over- all goal of $6.3 million, but more donors are needed.  If your family has not yet made a pledge, it is  not too late to do so.  All Catholics in the four central New Jersey counties of Middlesex, Warren, Hunterdon and Somerset will benefit from your generosity.  Please prayerfully consider your gift today!  Thank You!

2008 Confirmation Candidates

Now that our 2008 Confirmation Candidates have been recognized by our parish family please stop by their story board, read their autobiographies and pray for them.  There are individual names you can take home with you to pray for them.  The board is located in the back of the church.  Thank you.

Lucky Day Calendars

Holy Family Academy is selling “Lucky Day Calendars” for $25.00 each. The drawing starts New Years Day and end Easter Sunday. They make great stocking stuffers.

The Calendars are available at the Holy Family Academy School office.

Laura’s New Year Resolution

The renown Dr. Neil proclaimed the way to achieve inner peace for the New Year is to finish all the things you have started in the past year.

So I looked around my house to see things I started and hadn't finished; and, before leaving the house this morning, I finished off a bottle of Pinot, a bottle of Chardonnay, a bole of Baileys, a butle of Kehuha, a pockage of Pinqeuns, tha mainder of bot
Prozic and Valum scriptins, the res of the Chesescke, some saltins an a
bax a cholates.
