Stewardship

We must be good stewards of God’s gifts to us, receiving them gratefully and cultivating them with care, lest we be the ones about whom John the Baptist speaks today, cautioning us, “Every tree that does not bear good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.”   See Matthew 3:10

PLEASE PRAY FOR ALL OF OUR PARISHIONERS including:  Lucy Ciancia, Judy Salcewicz,

Tony Gangitano, David King, Haley Weber, Frank Stashak, Josephine Sarnoski, Elizabeth Connelly, Mary Pokotello, Blanche Ferarro, Sheila Del Mastro, John & Peter Foxwell, John & Christine Dyke, Peter Yazgier, Genevieve Casey Karen Von Racenswaay and Josephine Martens.

Let us remember in our prayers

Richard Morando whom God has called home.

2007 Bishops Annual Appeal

Disciples of ChristStewards of His Gifts

O’ Come O’ Come Emmanuel are words all of us recognize as we celebrate the Advent Season.  As Christmas nears you are asked to make a special effort to remember the 2007 Bishop’s Annual Appeal.  If you have yet to make your gift, can you do so today?  During the past year hundreds of parish school-aged children learned more about Jesus through our parish Religious Education Program. This program receives guidance, curriculum standards and support from the diocesan office for Religious Education that is supported by the Bishop’s Annual Appeal.  Please be as generous as your means allow.

There’s Always Operation USO Care Package

“Hundreds of thousands of U.S. armed forces personnel are overseas fighting the war on terrorism—away from their families, friends and the comforts of home this holiday season. To show these troops they have not been forgotten, the USO has created the Operation USO Care Package program.

Since 2001, Operation USO Care Package has delivered more than one million care packages and messages of support to deployed members of the U.S. armed forces, providing them with a “touch of home”.

Recognized and supported by the Department of Defense, USO care package are a way to send a message of encouragement thanking the troops for their service and sacrifice”. Go to: www.operationusocarepackage.org for more info.
