, Troop 245 would like to invite all Girl Scouts past and present to have a

Every now and then we get a
glimpse of the Kingdom of Heaven, as the apostles did when they saw Jesus
talking with Moses and Elijah. We finally understand what scripture and the
Church have been telling us about God’s desire, God’s way. This glimpse of the
Kingdom of Heaven can happen when we place our feet in the shoes of our
brothers and sisters who struggle with hunger and poverty, and see life from
their perspectives.

Q:
Why are many coin banks shaped like pigs?
A: Long ago, dishes and cookware in Europe were
made of a dense orange clay called "pygg". When people saved coins in
jars made of this clay, the jars became known as "pygg banks." When
an English potter misunderstood the word, he made a bank that resembled a pig.
And it caught on.
