By listening attentively to the Spirit promised by Jesus (3), the early Church resolves the question whether Gentile converts need to observe certain Jewish ritual practices (1). All are called (Ps) to dwell in the heavenly Jerusalem, founded on the twelve apostles of the Lamb (2).

The 4th Annual I.H.S. Race 4 Freedom

Catholic Relief Services Metuchen Fifth Anniversary

Celebrate Life – A Day for Seniors

June 8th, 10 am  The Family Life Office is pleased to announce the 2nd annual “Celebrate Life Day for Seniors” at the St. John Neumann Pastoral Center, Piscataway. The presenter will be Fr. Sean Winters, Chaplain at Raritan Bay Medical Center and Alameda Center for Rehabilitation and Care. Holy Name Society Meeting

May 14th   The Holy Name Society will meet Monday, May 14th at 7:30 pm in the Church Hall. All men of the parish are invited and welcomed to attend. All men are also invited to join the Holy Name Society at the 7 PM mass on May 14th.

Patriots Game in June

June 30th  The Holy Name Society is sponsoring a Patriots vs. the Lancaster Barnstormers Baseball Game Gathering on June 30th at 7 pm. The cost is $ 8.00 per person. You may reserve your tickets by calling Keith Fasanella at

732-356-5780 or by filling out the Patriots Game Form found at each exit door and returning the completed form and payment in the collection basket during any mass. The last day to reserve tickets is Sunday, June 3rd.

ROSARY ALTAR SOCIETY NEWS

57th Annual Women’s Communion Breakfast

June 3rd  The Rosary Altar Society will be sponsoring their 57th Annual Women’s Communion Breakfast at the Holiday Inn on Davidson Ave., Somerset after the 8 am Mass on June 3rd. Tickets will be on sale after each Mass. Ticket prices are $18.00 for ladies and $12.00 for young ladies 10 & under. All the ladies of the parish are invited to attend. Last date to purchase tickets will be Sunday, May 27th, no tickets will be sold the day of the breakfast.

 

COMMUNITY NEWS

Help Wanted - $$

We have a parishioner who is looking for someone to visit a family member in our area a few times a week for an hour or so a day. Maybe take this person to a local grocery store or pharmacy, visit with them and just make sure they are OK. The family member doesn’t drive, but is not disabled. There is pay involved. Immaculata Annual Garage Sale

Immaculata High School’s Campus Ministry Annual Garage Sale will be held on Friday, May 25th from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Saturday, May 26th from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Lots of merchandise at VERY REASONABLE prices. Donations may be dropped off from 3 to 7 p.m. at the school’s gym doors on Wednesday, May 23rd and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 24th.
