The Lord came to the aid (Ps) of Jeremiah whose
preaching brought upon him rejection and ill-treatment (1). For those who take
the gospel seriously, misunderstanding and division must likewise be expected

Final Meeting Before
August
27 – After
Please--This is a must attend meeting for who will
be helping at the sale on Sept. 6 – 7 – 8.
Final details will be decided.
Fellow Parishioners
Thank you, thank you for the items you have already
brought in for the sale. The room is getting filled, BUT, WE STILL NEED MORE.
So far it looks like a very large yard sale and now we have to get it to look
like a rummage sale. Don’t forget we have many tables to fill in the hall.
We are still in need of more clothing, especially, children’s and babies.
Men of the parish, we hope you will be able to part with some of your
tools. We have received nothing in this department. Small pieces of
furniture are also needed. Would everyone please look in your homes one
more time.
Thanking you in advance for your generosity.
The
Rummage Sale Committee.

Some great ways of
dealing with the burdens of life:
*
Accept that some days you're the pigeon, and some days you're the statue.
*
Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them.
*
Always read stuff that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it.
* Drive
carefully. It's not only cars that can be recalled by their maker.
* If
you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague.
