Stewardship
Today’s responsorial

your will.” May I, too, stand ready to
offer myself and my gifts in the service of God.

A Round of Applause for…
Diane Mosko
Diane
Mosko single handedly ran Our Lady of Mercy’s Gertrude Hawk’s Christmas Candy
campaign raising $550 for the Church. Taking the orders, collecting the money,
ordering the candy and making sure it all came in so no one was left wanting
for candy at Christmastime. Thank you Diane. Bravo!

Foundation for Catholic Education
Collection
January 26 & 27, 2008
Next weekend the Diocesan “Foundation for Catholic
Education” collection will be taken up at all Masses. The Foundation for Catholic Education is an endowment fund which
provides tuition assistance grants to families. Through the generous support of
parishioners, the Diocese was able to increase the funding provided for tuition
assistance for the 2007-2008 school year with $734,000 in grants awarded to 671
recipients. Although this amount represents a substantial amount of money, it
covers less that 29% of the $2.5 million of financial need of the more than 900
students that applied. We need your support and the support of all parishes to
keep Catholic education within reach for many of our school families.

Anyone wishing to obtain a statement of
contributions for the past year – 2007, should drop a note in the collection
basket or call the rectory during business hours. We will need to have your name (and your spouse’s name, if applicable),
street address and phone number—a parishioner number would be nice
too if possible. Your statement will be sent to you through the postal service.
Renew
Consider Joining Renew This Season
As your Renew team prepares for another season, we
invite you to consider joining fellow parishioners sharing your faith and
friendship in an informal atmosphere. For six weeks this Lenten season we will
again meet in small groups for the common purpose of growing in our faith. Each
season has a separate discussion topic. Joining Renew this season does not
require your previous participation in the program.
We will have 2 “Sign Up Sundays” in January and a
