Stewardship
Today we
remember the three wise men from the East who came to pay homage to the infant
Jesus, bringing Him rich gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. The gifts we
bring — our time, service, and some share of what we earn for the work we
do—are equally precious in His sight.

PLEASE
PRAY FOR ALL OF OUR PARISHIONERS
including: Josephine Sarnoski, Genevieve Casey, Elizabeth
Connelly, Josephine Martens and Peter Yazgier.
Remember
Sam Levenson?
"The
greatness of this or any country may still be measured by the number of people
trying to get IN vs. the number trying to get OUT.”

Vocations Awareness Week
Today we celebrate the feast of the Baptism
of the Lord. This week, January 13–18 is National
Vocation Awareness Week, a special time in
which the Church prays for the renewal and strengthening of vocations of
dedicated people as married and single people,
men to serve as priests, deacons, brothers, and women as religious
sisters. Choose to make a difference! Please
visit www.diometuchen.org
or call the rectory for more information and guidance.
**Together in Charity Collection**
January 12 & 13, 2008
Next weekend the annual “Together in Charity
Collection” will be taken up at all Masses. The proceeds of this collection
will help the Parish Emergency Assistance Program, a program of Catholic
Charities that provides 24 hour/7 days a week assistance to parishes faced with
individuals and families with serious and urgent financial, housing or medical
needs. In the past year, 75% of the parishes in the Diocese availed themselves
of this program. Please give generously to this collection and contribute to
making this a grace-filled new year for a family or individual in crisis.
OUR
LADY OF MERCY NEWS
2008 Confirmation Candidates
Now
that our 2008 Confirmation Candidates have been recognized by our parish family
please stop by their story board, read their autobiographies and pray for
them. There are individual names you can take home with you to pray for
them. The board is located in the back of the church. Thank you.
Yes, it’s that time of year again…
**End
of Year Financial Report for Taxes**
Anyone wishing to obtain a statement of
contributions for the past year – 2007, should drop a note in the collection
basket or call the rectory during business hours. I will need to have your name (and your spouse’s name, if applicable), street
address and phone number—a parishioner number would be nice too if possible.

FREE directory.) Casual posing is also available
free of charge.
