Thomas believed because he saw the risen Jesus (3). Although we have never seen him, we believe in him (2). We give thanks to the Lord (Ps) for this gift of faith, especially when we gather for the breaking of the bread and the prayers (1).

Stewardship

Jesus meets the need of each disciple. To the fearful in the upper room, He speaks words of peace. To doubting Thomas, He provides the tangible proof of His resurrection. What do I need to become His disciple?  What do I have to share that might meet someone else’s need?

PLEASE PRAY FOR ALL OF OUR PARISHIONERS

From Sister Catherine

A very special thank you to all who worked on the convent and helped make it a beautiful home. To the Rosary Altar Society & the Holy Name Society and to all who donated and helped in many ways–I am deeply grateful.

May God bless each one of you and reward your generous spirit.

Assuring you all of a very special remembrance in my prayers,

Sister Catherine

Stewardship Renewal Program

Once again we would like to thank you for the tremendous effort so many of you have shown in keeping your commitment to financially support this parish. Our income has increased due to the large response from this caring, dedicated community. I realize this has been a sacrifice from any of you but such a financial commitment is helping us to address the many needs facing our parish today.

Special Eucharistic Adoration

April 10th

Our Lady of Mercy will have a special Eucharistic Adoration, Thursday, April 10th from 8 AM to 12 PM to pray for vocations to the priesthood and religious life.

The special monstance to be used on April 10th was blessed by our Holy Father last year. He wishes to highlight to us the importance of vocations and present to us the wonderful opportunity to pray for vocations.

We encourage everyone to come and spend some time with the Blessed Sacrament that day.

Maybe drive this person to a local grocery store, pharmacy or church, visit with them and just make sure they are OK. The family member doesn’t drive, but is not disabled. There is pay involved. Please call Laura at the rectory for more information (732) 356-1037, 1-4, Tues. thru Friday or contact sammysmom34@yahoo.com
