RDGS 46: Acts
1 Pt 1:17-21 Lk 24:13-35
Through the blood of Jesus we have been delivered from
the power of sin (2). We recognize him in the breaking of the bread (3)., the
one whom God raised from the dead (1) and who now sits at his right hand forever
(Ps).
Stewardship
The disciples on the
road to Emmaus walked and talked with Jesus all day long, but it was not until
they offered Him hospitality and He blessed and broke the bread that they
recognized Him. Simple acts of loving kindness still reveal the presence
of God in our midst.

PLEASE
PRAY FOR ALL OF OUR PARISHIONERS
Mark Gazitano, Peter Yazgier, Patricia Ryan,
Josephine Sarnoski, Al & Ruth Schraeder, Christine
Dyke Genevieve Casey and Elizabeth Connelly.

Let us remember in our prayers Kathleen Vliet
whom
God has called home.

God of
endless love, ever caring, ever strong, always present, always just, You gave

Gentle Jesus, shepherd of peace, join to
your own suffering the pain of all who have been hurt in body, mind, and spirit
by those who betrayed the trust placed in them.
Hear our cries as we agonize over the
harm done to our brothers and sisters. Breathe wisdom into our prayers, soothe
restless hearts with hope, steady shaken spirits with faith: how us the way to
justice and wholeness, enlightened by truth and enfolded in your mercy.
Holy Spirit, comforter of hearts, heal
your people’s wounds
and transform our brokenness. Grant us
courage and wisdom, humility and grace, so that we may act with justice and
find peace in you.
We ask this through Christ, our Lord.
Amen.
