SEVENTH SUNDAY OF EASTER

HOURS   Pss III  Seasonal prop

MASS      Prop  Gl  Cr  Easter Pf I - V

RDGS      59: Acts 1:12-14  Ps 27:1, 4, 7-8

               1 Pt 4:13016 Jn 17:1-11a

Jesus, having completed the work of his Father, speaks of returning to him and of being glorified (3). As we share in his glory, so too do we share in Christ’s suffering (2). We have nothing to fear, however, since the Lord is our refuge (Ps). In his name do we gather (1). Attentive to the Spirit.

Stewardship

In today’s Gospel, Jesus prays, “I have given You glory on earth by finishing the work. You gave Me to do.”  Good stewards follow His example by using their time and talents for the glory of God.   (See John 17:4)

PLEASE PRAY FOR ALL OF OUR PARISHIONERS

Peter Yazgier, John Hanlon, Patricia Ryan,

Josephine Sarnoski, Al & Ruth Schraeder, Christine Dyke Genevieve Casey and Elizabeth Connelly.

Who can assure us that we will be alive tomorrow? Let us listen to the voice of our conscience, to the voice of the royal prophet: "Today, if you hear God's voice, harden not your heart." Let us not put off from one moment to another (what we should do) because the (next moment) is not yet ours.

 -St. Padre Pio
