Stewardship

Saints Peter and Paul worked tirelessly to spread the Gospel.  Not all can be apostles, but we, too, must be good stewards of our vocations, using the gifts we’ve been given in the service of God’s kingdom.

PLEASE PRAY FOR ALL OF OUR PARISHIONERS

For those who are ill, especially: Christine Dyke,  Genevieve Casey, Josephine Sarnoski, Peter Yazgier, Patricia Ryan, Al & Ruth Schraeder, Blanche Ferraro and Elizabeth Connelly may they receive the help they need from loving care givers.

Mission Co-operative Appeal

July 5th & 6th

In keeping with the Annual Pontifical Mission Appeal initiative, Father Dan has invited a missionary from the “Apostles of Jesus” to speak to us on July 5th & 6th.

The Apostles of Jesus, was the first religious missionary order of priests and brothers founded in Africa. Founded by Bishop Sixtus Mazzoldi, MCCJ and Rev. John Marengoni, MCCJ in Moroto, Uganda, East Africa, on August 22, 1968. The order soon spread to Kenya, Tanzania, the Sudan and to other parts of Africa, Europe and the United States.

Their main objectives are:

  • Farming to feed the hungry
  • Reaching out with the Gospel worldwide
  • Building schools and seminaries
  • Establishing Health Centers
  • Caring for children orphaned by AIDS/HIV

Right now they are devoted to the following projects:

·        The Apostles of Jesus AIDS Ministry (AJAM) in the Ngong Hills area in Kenya

·        Queen of the Apostles Medical Center in the Nakasete District of Uganda

·        Nsambya Hostel located in Kampala, Uganda

·        Rejaf Seminary in Sudan

·        St. James School in Tanzania

·        Uru Seminary located near the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro

·        Tengeru Farm in Arusha

·        Apostles of Jesus Lima Farm located in Kampala, Uganda

·        Kiserian Minor Seminary located in Kenya.

·        Apostles of Jesus Youth Technical Institute based in Nairobi

·        Shrine of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary in Nairobi

·        Langata Seminary in Kenya

·        Pope John Paul II Memorial Hall in Nairobi, Kenya

Please be as generous as your means allow. We are abundantly rich compared to the people the Apostles of Jesus are trying to help.

For more information on this Mission and the works they have undertaken, please visit their excellent website: www.apostlesofjesus.org

Your Attention Please… The OLM Youth Group will be collecting flip tops on cans. Please collect your flip tops and place them in the box in the vestibule when you come to Mass.
