Let us rejoice in all the men and women, blest in the eyes of the Lord, who celebrate the heavenly liturgy. They stand in God’s holy place and sing of the love the Father has bestowed upon them through the blood of the Lamb.

Stewardship

Today’s psalm makes clear that we and everything we think we own actually belong to God instead: “The Lord’s are the earth and its fullness, the world and those who dwell in it.” We are stewards, not owners, of our lives and all we possess!  (See Psalm 24)

PLEASE PRAY FOR ALL OF OUR PARISHIONERS

For those who are ill, especially: James Esposito, Beverly Turok and Josephine Sarnoski that their suffering and trials may become sources of grace for themselves and others.

Let us join in prayer as Deacon Joseph Masterson and Wladyslawa Janina Gromadzki are welcomed back into the loving embrace of our Heavenly Father.

In Response to Our Petition

From: Peter J. Biondi, Assemblyman

           Denise M. Coyle, Assemblywoman

Dear Rev. Herlihy:

We recently received from you a “petition to preserve the definition of marriage” which was signed by many of your parishioners.

We would like to advise you and those attending your parish that we will not support any bill that comes before us on the floor of the New Jersey General Assembly that attempts to redefine marriage in any way. We feel strongly that marriage be recognized only between the union of one man and one woman and we agree that “The Civil Union Act” has provided for same sex couples to have rights and benefits as married couples.

We thank you and your parishioners for contacting our office and voicing your concern regarding the issue of redefining same sex marriage.
