PLEASE PRAY FOR
For those who are ill, especially: James Esposito, Beverly Turok and Josephine
Sarnoski that their suffering and trials may become sources of grace for
themselves and others.
I find that the more willing I am to be grateful for the small things
in life, the bigger stuff just seems to show up … I am constantly looking
forward to each day with all the surprises that keep coming my way!

Defense of Marriage Petition
** Update
**
We
are nearing the final stages of our effort to maintain the definition of
marriage in
However,
with the Lame Duck session of the State Legislature coming up later this month,
it is imperative that we continue our efforts to make our voices heard, and to
solidify this success. Many legislators have told us that personal phone calls
and letters from constituents carry the greatest weight when they are
considering an issue. We know that supporters of same-sex marriage are writing
and calling, so it is necessary for our Catholic people to do the same.
Below
are the names/addresses and phone numbers of our local legislators. Please take
the time to either call or write and let them know you are opposed to changing
the definition of marriage. Thank you.

Christmas Flower
Collection
December 6 & 7
The second collection next week is for Christmas
flowers for our church. The parishioners do such a wonderful job setting up the
church for Advent and the coming of Christmas. Let us be as generous as in
years past so we can have the same beautiful Christmas church as we are used to
seeing.

Food Collection Boxes
We want to thank the members
of our parish for their generosity with the food collection that was started in
May of this year. We have provided over 60 bags to the less fortunate. As
we said when we began the collections, we should all understand our calling as
Catholics to share our abundance with the truly needy, for someday we will meet
the Lord and ask, “Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you?” He will
reply, “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you
did for me.”
Please
look for the food collection boxes in the church vestibule and the two
entrances by the altar. Regular donations of foods with a long shelf life will
be appreciated. A list of suggested items is posted above the donation boxes
for your reference.
Thank
you very much for your continued donations as they will be appreciated by
someone who might otherwise go hungry tonight.
