Jesus came as one who spoke in the name of the Lord, teaching with authority. Let us listen to his voice and adhere to him above anything else.

Stewardship

Moses told the people, “The Lord will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own kinsmen.” God still provides among His people the gifts and talents necessary to continue the work of His Church. What gifts are yours to share?                                            (See Deuteronomy 18:15)

PLEASE PRAY FOR ALL OF OUR PARISHIONERS

For those who are ill, especially:  Josephine Sarnoski, Elizabeth Connelly, Genevieve Casey, Peter Yazgier, Chester Scaletti, Sr. and Keith Bloomer.

“I used to pray that God would do this or that—but now I pray that He will guide me to do whatever I can do.  I used to pray for answers, but now I’m praying for strength.  I used to believe that prayer changes things, but now I know that prayer changes us—and we change things.”

- Mother Teresa

Diocesan Winter Collection - Feb. 14th & 15th

The “Winter Collection” will benefit two important causes sponsored by the US Conference of Catholic Bishops: The Campaign for Human Development and the Church in Latin America.

Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) – We can reverse the trend where 37 million Americans live in poverty. CCHD helps people break the cycle of poverty, not for just a day, but for a lifetime. We send 75% of the donations to the CCHD national office. We keep 25% here in our Diocese to fund local self-help initiatives to benefit our local communities.

Church in Latin America (CLA) – CLA helps fellow Catholics in Latin America and the Caribbean who are rich in faith but lacking in material resources - to participate more fully in the life of the Church and to share their faith with others. The collection also help respond to emergency pastoral needs resulting from natural disasters.

Is Your Schedule Too Full?

Working late, picking up the kids, making dinner … it doesn’t leave much time for church activities. Let us help you catch up. The Catholic Spirit – we’re there when you can’t be. Subscribe today: Call (732) 562-2424 or visit www.diometuchen.org or use the envelope you received in your offertory packet and drop it in the collection basket.

FOCA Post Card Campaign

Next week our parish will join Catholics across the country in sending a message to Congress: Please oppose the “Freedom of Choice Act” (FOCA) and retain laws against government funding and promotion of abortion. You will have the opportunity to sign postcards to your U.S. Representative and two U.S. Senators. Please plan to participate in this important event.
