Jesus commissions his disciples to baptize in his name, reminding them that he is always present through his Spirit. Having ascended to his Father amid cries of gladness, we are to be his witnesses for we have been gifted with his Spirit of wisdom and revelation. Let us, therefore, live in a manner worthy of the call we have received.

Stewardship

Jesus is the perfect steward — watching carefully over all who have been entrusted to Him by the Father and then sending them all out into the world in service.  May I similarly protect and wisely use the gifts entrusted to me!

PLEASE PRAY FOR ALL OF OUR PARISHIONERS

For those who are ill, especially: Flo Gonda, Marion Mraz,

Beverly Turok, Josephine Sarnoski,

Elizabeth Connelly, Peter Yazgier, Keith Bloomer,

Terri Mahoney and Cathleen DeLorenzo

that their suffering and trials may become sources of grace for themselves and others.

God loves each one of us as if there were only one of us to love.

Memorial Day Prayer

Dear Lord,

On this day, we remember those who have served us by protecting our freedoms,  when we celebrate our long weekend with our friends and family, help us remember, that our freedom to worship you, and our freedom to do that which we ought to do, have all been bought at the price and sacrifice of many lives.

Your Son died for our eternal life in heaven.  So too, your children died protecting us here on earth.  Help us be mindful this weekend and always of the sacrifices made by those in uniform.  Amen

Food Collection Boxes

As our economic problems deepen, food banks in our area are becoming overwhelmed. As Catholics, we understand the calling to share our abundance with the truly needy, for someday we will meet the Lord and ask, “Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you?” He will reply, “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.”

We have started a food collection box in the church vestibule. Regular donations of foods with a long shelf life will be appreciated. A list of suggested items will be posted above the donation boxes for your reference.

Thank you very much for your donations as they will be appreciated by someone who might otherwise go hungry tonight.
