                                 2 Cor 5:14-17  Mk 4:35-41

In the midst of adversity, we need to trust in the saving presence of God (1, Ps) who triumphs over the waters of the sea (1). In the midst of distress (Ps), let us turn to the Lord with faith, to him whom even the wind and the sea obey (3,1). He died and rose for our sake (2) that we might live and not perish.

STEWARDSHIP

St. Paul reminds us in the second reading that Christ died “so that those who live might live no longer for themselves.” What we give to and do for others, we give to and do for Jesus!

See 2 Corinthians 5:15

PLEASE PRAY FOR ALL OF OUR PARISHIONERS

For those who are ill, especially: Flo Gonda, Marion Mraz,

Beverly Turok, Elizabeth Connelly, Peter Yazgier, Josephine Sarnoski, Keith Bloomer, Terri Mahoney, Cathleen DeLorenzo and Edna Poole

that their suffering and trials may become sources of grace for themselves and others.
