Prop Gl Cr Sun Pf I-VIII

66: Is 62:1-5  Ps 96:1-3, 7-10

1 Cor 12: 4-11  Jn 2: 1-11

At Cana in Galilee, Jesus performed the first of his signs, revealing his glory to his disciples (3), and later to all the nations (1, Ps). He has revealed as well the manifestation of the Spirit who distributes different gifts as he chooses (2).

Stewardship

In today’s second reading, St. Paul tells the Corinthians

(and us) that all of our gifts are from God and that they are given, not for ourselves alone, but for the common good.  But the generosity of God knows no limits - the miracle at Cana reminds us that whenever we faithfully do as God asks, He can change our gifts of water into wine!

PLEASE PRAY FOR ALL OF OUR PARISHIONERS including John Vanderhoff, Tony Gangitano, David King, Mary Pokotello, John & Peter Foxwell, Haley Weber, Frank Stashak, Blanche Ferarro, Josephine Sarnoski, and Elizabeth Connelly, Kippy Hale,

What is Ordinary Time?

Ordinary Time, meaning ordered or numbered time, is celebrated in two segments: from the Monday following the Baptism of Our Lord up to Ash Wednesday; and from Pentecost Monday to the First Sunday of Advent. This makes it the largest season of the Liturgical Year.

Vestments are usually green, the color of hope and growth, the Church counts the thirty-three or thirty-four Sundays of Ordinary Time, inviting her children to meditate upon the whole mystery of Christ – his life, miracles and teachings – in the light of his Resurrection.

Thank You to Our Bulletin Sponsors

We would like to thank all the advertisers who have supported us throughout the year. Our parish benefits greatly from the ads you see in the bulletin. The revenue pays for the printing which is an important means of communication for the parish. We thank the many local businesses that have renewed their advertisements as well as the many new advertisers who have recently signed on.

A Kindergarten teacher was observing her classroom of children while they were drawing. She would occasionally walk around to see each child's work.

As she got to one little girl who was working diligently, she asked what the drawing was.

The girl: replied, "I'm drawing God."

The teacher : paused and said, "But no one knows what God looks like."

Without missing a beat, or looking up from her drawing the replied, "They will in a minute."

11 people were hanging on a rope under a helicopter, 10 men & 1 woman.

The rope was not strong enough to carry them all, so they decided that one had to leave, because otherwise they were all going to fall. They were unable to decide who would let go, until the woman gave a very touching speech.

She said that she would voluntarily let go of the rope, because, as a woman, she was used to giving up everything for her husband and kids and for men in general, and was used to always making sacrifices with little in return.

As soon as she finished her speech, all the men started clapping.
