Following the Lord means nothing less than the cross (3): offering ourselves with Jesus as a living sacrifice and not conforming ourselves to this world (2). Following him will entail derision and scorn (1), yet the Lord is our help (Ps).

Stewardship

In today’s second reading, St. Paul exhorts the Romans to total stewardship. Brothers and sisters, he urges, “. . . offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God.”
