Pilgrimage For Vocations
Bishop
Bootkoski extends a cordial invitation to the people of our Diocese to join
with him on a Diocesan Pilgrimage for Vocations to the Basilica of the
Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, October 18, 2008.

Adult &
Youth Choirs for the
Diocesan Pilgrimage for Vocations
The Diocesan Office of Liturgical Music is
finalizing the formation of the Diocesan Adult and Youth Choirs for the Oct.
18th Pilgrimage to the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate
Conception in Washington, D.C.
There will be six adult
and four youth rehearsals held to prepare for the pilgrimage. The Adult Choir
will begin on September 9 and the Youth Choir on September 30. Complete
schedules are available at www.diometuchen.org.
Most rehearsals will be
held at the St. John Neumann Pastoral Center, 146 Metlars Lane in Piscataway.
Requirements include a blending tone, ability to
learn music quickly and a joyful spirit.

Summer Savings!
Last
Summer (2007), the electric bill for the
Church alone was $9091. This Summer (2008), the bill is $4748. In all, a
savings of $4343. This is due to transferring the weekday Masses to the Chapel.

Fall Bake & Craft Sale

The
Rosary Altar Society will hold its Fall Bake & Craft Sale the weekend of
September 27th & 28th,
2008.
Crafts
and excellent baked goods will be sold before and after all Masses.
Contributions
of baked goodies or crafts are always welcome and appreciated. Please drop off
your contributions in the church hall 15 minutes before all Masses begin.
Shop Rite Gift Cards
The
Rosary Altar Society and the Holy Name Society have teamed up to sell Shop Rite
Gift Cards in order to raise funds for Our Lady of Mercy.
Cards
can be bought in denominations of $25, $50 and $100. The cards can be used to
buy anything at Shop Rite and can be used at all Shop Rites.
A
member of the Rosary Altar or the Holy Name Society will be in the vestibule of
the church after all Masses for your purchasing convenience.
